Founded
by Joseph R. Bradley, GBM opened its first office in
Kingston, PA. in 1969. The original office served
the Greater Wilkes-Barre area as well as the West Side of
Wyoming Valley. In 1986 the company opened its
second office location in Scranton, PA., to serve the
Greater Scranton area. By 1992, GBM opened five
additional sales office locations in Stroudsburg, Hazleton,
Lewisburg, Williamsport and Allentown. In addition, GBM
opened its new service and warehouse facility in
Edwardsville. Today, after
some streamlining GBM serves these same geographic areas from
six strategic office locations.
Throughout
its history, GBM has valued its role as a good corporate
citizen. From support of dozens of area non-profit
organizations to membership in several area Chambers of Commerce,
GBM recognizes its responsibility to "give back"
to the community. And it doesn't stop with the
company. Many GBM employees have been, or are,
involved in community affairs such as volunteer fire
protection, elected office, and service organizations.
GBM is proud to have sponsored six graduates of area
Leadership programs. In recognition of GBM's
business success along with our dedication to the
community, GBM was honored by the Wilkes-Barre Chamber of
Commerce with its 1995 Small Business of the Year Award.
